Gond (Dink) Laddoo: The Winter Superfood Sweet

Every Indian winter has a hero sweet - and in many homes, it’s the gond (dink) laddoo. Here’s why this humble ladoo has stood the test of time.
What is gond / dink?
Gond, also called dink, is an edible gum harvested from certain trees. Roasted in ghee it puffs up light and crisp, and has long been valued in Indian households as a warming, strengthening food - especially for new mothers and through the cold months.
Loaded with dry fruits
A good gond laddoo isn’t just gum. Ours packs in cashew, almond, walnut, dried fig and dry coconut, bound with pure ghee and organic jaggery. That means healthy fats, fibre and natural sweetness in every bite - no refined sugar needed.
Why people eat it in winter
The combination of ghee, gum and dry fruits is traditionally believed to keep the body warm and energised when it’s cold. Whether or not you follow the tradition, it’s simply a deeply satisfying, wholesome treat.
The Pushti way
Our Gond / Dink Ladoo is handmade in small batches with no added sugar and no preservatives - just honest ingredients. If you like variety, the Mix Seeds Ladoo and Dates Roll make great winter companions too.
